Yes, This is the Bronx believe it or not! It was a perfect lazy Sunday.. My sister and I decided to go to the New York Botanical Garden to catch the last day of the Orchid Show. We were greeted by these gorgeous cherry blossom trees, straight out of a fairy tale. Luckily my sis had her trusty little camera phone which turned out to take pretty good shots! If I could just live in this garden, under this tree, forever, I'd be one happy gal...ahhh.
How great would the patterns on some of these orchids look for a home accessories line or a silk summer dress? I see Diane von Furstenburg written all over these...

I haven't spent much time in the Bronx- definitely have to change that in the next few years; I love to travel so much and the fact that I've left so much of New York undiscovered makes me sad every time I think about it- and this garden is very much outside of how I imagine it. These gardens are stunning. I love all of the cherry blossoms and the orchids are to die for, especially the white ones with fuchsia spots. Thanks for sharing all of this beauty!

@ Cee- I rarely ever leave Manhattan but this garden gets me every time!..lol..Most of the Bronx does not look even remotely close to this but every place does have it's nice pockets.
And I agree, I too need to explore more outside of the city!

I can't believe these were taken with the phone...absolutely stunning! You will be surprised, NYC has a other boroughs with beautiful treasures....the Botanical garden has to one of the most exquisite and inspiring things NYC has to offer.
